The
Tet Offensive was a great military defeat for the viet cong. Their efforts
to attack all major outposts in the South resulted in the decimation
of the guerilla forces in the South. This Photo taken in the embassy coumpound during the TET Offensive in 1968 showed the American people that americans were vulnerable to attack everywhere in Vietnam. This was something the soldiers knew but the American public believed that only the grunts in the Jungle were under attack. |
